McKenzie Watson-Fore is a writer, artist, and critic based in her hometown of Boulder County, Colorado. McKenzie holds an MFA in Nonfiction from Pacific University. She writes about art, culture, literature, white American evangelicalism, and the female experience. By day, McKenzie is the Arts & Culture Editor for Boulder Reporting Lab. She also serves as the executive editor for sneaker wave magazine, the inaugural critic in residence for MAYDAY, and the founder and host of the Thunderdome Conference. Her work has been nominated for the Pushcart, Best of the Net, and Best American Essays. She can usually be found drinking tea on her back porch.
